ALLEGED BOOKMAKING.

Per Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, Oct. 28. Following a visit to the New Zealand Cup meeting of the New Zealand Whippet Racing Club at Riccarton on Saturday by detectives. William Joseph Rrosnahan, Thomas Henry Owens and John Prisk were arrested on charges of carrying on tire business of bookmakers. They were charged with the offence before a Justice of the Peace and remanded.
