FOXTON.
(From Our Own Correspondent.) . FOXTON, Sept. 25. Air AlcCullocli, of Tiakitahuna, conducted the evening service in the Presbyterian Church on Sunday. A solo was rendered by his daughter. The Huanui reached port last Friday after having to take shelter at Kapiti during the earlier part of the week. It is considered by fishermen that tho recent fresh in the Manawatu River saw tho last of the whitebait this season. The season has proved the poorest on record. The fourth round for the Handicap Cup match was played by the Golf Club during the week-end with the following results:—J. 11. Purcell beat E. T. Wilson, W. M. Thomas beat L. J. Thompson, AI. Baird beat B. Gavin.
