DECLARATION BY DOLLFUSS. CHANCELLOR’S “TELL ENGLAND.” STEPS FOR PRESERVATION. (United Press Association. —By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) Received September 24, 9.30 a.m. VIENNA, Sept. 24. Interviewed prior to going to Geneva, the Chancellor, Dr Dollfuss, objected to the description of the new Government as Fascist. He added: “We created a new Austria out of the chaos. Tell England we we are determined that we shall succeed. There is deep wisdom in Signor Mussolini’s phrase ‘Fascism is not an exportable article.”’ Dr Dollfuss is promulgating a decree imposing imprisonment for antiAustrian activities. It is particularly applicable to Nazis and Communists. REJECTION OF FASCISM. THE ARCHDUKE’S POLICY. Received September 25, 8.40 a.m. VIENNA, Sept. 24. Archduke Otto Hapsburg, the Pretender to the Austrian Throne, has written a letter rejecting Fascism. Ho declared that Austria’s only hope lies in a constitutional monarchy on democratic lines similar to that of England. “The time for restoration is not yet ripe. It must bo achieved by legal methods. I refuso to be drawn into an adventurous putsch,” he declared.
