AIRPORT ACTIVITY.
PLANES AT MILSON. Another busy week has been experienced at the Milson Aerodrome, the large number of visiting machines being maintained. A total number of 7 hours 25 minutes flying time was accomplished by the following club pilots:—SquadronLeader M. C. McGregor, Messrs M. McLeod, E. TV. Barnett, J. Penny, A. C. Waters, R. Linklater, G. Dixon and A. H. Honeyfield. On Monday last ZK-ACD, piloted by Mr H. Dawson, made the trip from Dannevirlce. The same day saw ZKAAH„ with Mr TVorrall and FlightLieutenant Mercer, arrive from Christchurch, via Wellington, for New Plymouth. They continued their journey the next morning and that evening passed through on their return to Wellington. On Thursday the Southern Cross Kitten, ZK-ABN, arrived from Timaru with Mr H. McKay as passenger. Mr McKay crossed the Tasman with Air Commodore Sir Charles Ivingsford Smith on his last trip. The ’plane went on to Hastings and returned the following day, when ZK-AAM also visited the airport.
