MANAWATU KENNEL CLUB.
(To the Editor.) Sir, —It appears that I have set a fire, but which side has put tlie match to it? I personally do not think “Knowledge” should have any regrets at my asking for the conditions under which the Kennel Club has held its shows with the A. and P. Association. If there is any “mud raking” I would suggest that the agreements be published to let the public have the facts. I do not intend to take either side but, as q member of the A. and P. Association, I will have to consider in future which way my annual £1 is to go. Ido not want to gaze at a Jersey bull or a Large White pig for two or three days (as it appears to me); yet I quite agree with “Knowledge” that the Kennel Club’s shows attract many thousands of spectators and are favourably commented on. I have attended A. and I’. Shows the length and breadth of New Zealand, and the Manawatu Kennel Club’s exhibition is second to none where such shows are staged in conjunction with A. and P. Associations. Should this matter be allowed to drop it will amount to a lack of civic pride and a disgrace to a city like ours considering as we do we have the premier show in New Zealand.—l am, etc., INTERESTED.
