LEGAL PROFESSION AT PLAY. Play in the “Devil’s Own” golf tournament for the legal profession was continued at the Hokowhitu links during the week-end. Those who qualified on net scores in the two rounds of stroke play, on Saturday afternoon, for match play in the “Devil’s Own” Cup were as follow:—N. H. Kawson 149, lv. C. Clayton 150, A. T. The morning medal round was won by K. C. Clayton, the best scores returned being as follow: —K. C, Clayton, 85—12—73: J. R. E. Bennett. 82—8—74; N. H. Rawson, 85—11— 74; A. T. Young, 89 —14—75; L. M . Abraham, 89 —12—77 ; W. B. Rainey, 93 —16—77 ; F. Christensen, 82 —5 —77. The afternoon medal rounrd was won by N. H. Rawson, the three best scores being as follow:—N. H. Raw-

son, 86 —11 —75; W. B. Rainey, 92 — 16—76; A. B. Buxton, 90—14—76. Match play during the week-end resulted as follows : “DEVIL’S OWN” CUP.

Visiting the Te Matai links during the week-end, a team from the Manawatu Golf Club defeated Palmerston North by 13 games to 7, four being halved.
