PROVINCIAL CHAMPIONSHIPS. Per Press Association, BLENHEIM, Sept. 25. In the Marl borough provincial golf championships W. N. Masefield set_ a new course record, going round' in 70. The semi-finalists are E. Reid (Blenheim), J. Jeffries (Blenheim), B. S. Trolove (South Marlborough) and John Duncan (Wellington). PALMERSTON NORTH v. FOXTON. An inter-club match between Palmerston North and Herrington Golf Clubs was played at Foxton on Saturday, the following being detailed results (Foxton players being mentioned first) Singles. —Wilson beat Ramsay, J. Macpherson beat Bryan, B. Gavin beat Kerr, Petersen lost, to Turner, Thompson lost to Olnev, Robinson lost to Reid, Thomas beat, Pizzcy, Pedersen beat Moody, Baird beat Petersen. Four-ball.—Wilson and Maephorson beat Ramsay and Bryan, Gavin and Petersen lost, to Kerr and Turner, J hompson and Robinson lost to Olney and Reid, Thomas and Pederson beat Pizzcy and Moody.
