TRIBAL UNREST.
ON INDIAN FRONTIER. DELHI, Sept. 22. Indian troops employed for protection of a new road in Mohmand territory were ambushed by a strong force of hostile tribesmen, believed to be Safiris. Three privates were killed and one wounded. A few hours later a Punjab regiment was attacked near Katsai. One was killed and one wounded. The enemy, losses are unknown. Reconnaissance aeroplanes were fired on by the Kandaliakis, who, with the Safiris, it is believed, are being arrested for Afghan adventures supposed to be connected with the desire to overthrow Nadir Shah, the Afghan king.
