DEBUTANTES PRESENTED.

GOVERNMENT HOUSE BALL. WELLINGTON, Sept. 23. There were over three hundred guests at the ball given by Their Excellencies the Governor-General and the Lady Bledisloe at Government House last evening, when thirty-four debutantes made their bows, and were graciously received at the flowerbanked dais. The long ballroom was decorated with the lovely liot-house flowers that thrive so wonderfully in the Government House conservatories. Cyclamen in pink and white banked against the white walls accentuated the pink of the brocaded curtains.. Cinerarias showed blue and mauve beside the dais, where delicate greenery masked the chandeliers and the wall behind the blue brocaded chairs.
