RONGOTEA.
ANGLICAN CHURCH SOCIAL. Though the weather was distinctly unfavourable, and precluded a large attendance, the social and dance held by the Anglican Church at Rongotca on Thursday evening was a most pleasant function, and paid expenses. The evening had been well arranged by Mcsdamos E. _J. Rose, Bower, A. Burgess and F. Wright, and went with a swing throughout. Bright music was provided by a professionai orchestra and Mr C. Donovan carried out the duties of M.C. The spot dance .was won by Miss T. Rose and Mr O. Gardner, and the Monte Carlo by Miss Jill Bower and partner. Prizes won in other 'sections of the entertainment were as follow: Men: Mr J. Teaz 1, Mr Jellyman 2. Ladies: Miss Taylor 1, Mrs E. J. Rose 2. A cake was won by Mr Coogan (Bulls) and a tin of tea by Mr G. Burgess (Rongotca). Prizes were generously donated by Mcsdames B. Freeklington, W. V'. Schaw and Mr A. Florence.
