FRONTIER TRANQUILLITY.
ASSURANCE BY MOHMANDS. CALCUTTA, Sept. 21. A settlement with the unruly frontier tribes has been reached at the Mohmand jirga, which was • attended by high British officials. The tribesmen swore on the holy Koran to be of good behaviour and to leave the Halimzai tribe unmolested, and in return the British-Indian troops will be withdrawn, leaving the new road available to all.
