The credit balance now stands at £7 7s lOd, out of which will corne the expenses of the soejal and money for the trophies, which will about absorb this amount. Five competitions were held during the season, the winners in the senior section being Messrs Leg", E. Ingram, N. Rosoman and. P. P. Stevens. The challenge cup for the aggregate of fish caught in all competitions was won by P. P. Stevens. The trophy- donated by Mr F. 11. Stockwell for the heaviest fish caught, in or out of competition, was won by Mr Legg, who weighed in a brown trout 41bs 12jOzs, caught on the fly in the Oroua River. Mr C. Wickham ran the winner very close with a brown trout weighing 41bs 11-iozs, also taken fi-oin the Oroua on the fly. The.prize for the heaviest fish for the juniors was won by- R. These competitions arc always looked forward to, and members have had very cnjoy’able outings with the various clubs. We trust that during the coming season some of our younger members will he able to avail themselves of the opportunity to take part in them. Indications at present seem good for this season. Rivers have been free from heavy floods, and reports- to hand state that the streams are well stocked with fish.
