ST. PETER’S CHURCH.
SALE OF WORK. The annual sale of work conducted at the Parish Hall yesterday afternoon by the Ladies’ Guild of St. Peter’s Church, Terrace End, was well patronised, and the function, which was officially opened by the Mayor, had quite satisfactory financial results. Dainty posies were presented by little Rita White to Mrs A. E. Mansford (the Mayoress) and to Mrs D. J. Davies (wife of the vicar). There was a good attendance of the public in the evening, when practically all the goods were disposed of. Competitions were won as follow : Sponge cake, Miss Lancaster; dressing jacket, Mrs' Shand (Milson); supper cloth, Mr A. E. Mansford; smocked frock, Mrs Hart (Weston Avenue); bowl of sweets, Mrs (Limbrick Street); bowl, Cecil McKenzie; all-over, P. T. Kriven; lady’s jacket, Mrs G. W. Arlidge; cake guessing, Mrs T. Lancaster (exact weight, 61b. lloz.); cushion, Mrs E. Coutts; trousseau, Cecil McKenzie; child’s dressing gown, Mrs E. Jamieson.
