While playing for the Bunnythorpo team in the champion of champions ladies’ hockey tournament at the Park Road grounds yesterday, Miss W. Railson had the misfortune to be struck by the ball on the cheek-bone just below the left eye. Her injury was attended by St. John Ambulance men on duty at the grounds. Miss Hanson continued playing for the rest of the game, but withdrew from succeeding matches. It was reported this morning that the condition of the injury is considerably improved, although from the nasty nature of the blow it will be several days before the effects disappear.
