CITY PLAYING AREAS.

USE OF THE GROUNDS. The decision was made by the City Council, last evening, that the Manawatu Cricket Association be granted the use of the sports ground, Terrace End Park (one wicket up to January 1 and two wickets thereafter), with Milverton Park for boys’ matches only, from October 1, 1933, to the Saturday after Easter, 1934, for matches on Wednesdays and Saturdays and practices on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, subject to the annual payment of £SO to cover the preparation of all wickets required. The association was granted an option over tjie use of the sports ground for one week from Christmas Day, and for Labour Day, Anniversary Day and the Easter holidays for the purpose of arranging representative fixtures.
