REVENUE FROM OYSTERS.

■INCREASE RECORDED. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Sept. 18. The rock oyster season, which closed a few days ago, showed a marked improvement from the point of view of both output and sales over last season. In 1932, 4414 sacks were dealt with by the Marine Department at Auckland and the revenue obtained from their sale was £5046 17s Bd. For the season just closed 4717 sacks were 1 placed on the market and brought in a revenue of £5336 4s lid. “Seeing that oysters are more or less, a luxury nowadays,” remarked the Minister of Marine (Hon. J. G. Cobbe) to-day .“the demand for them and the much-needed extra revenue they have brought in to the State coffers are gratifying.”
