RUGBY RELATIONS

The Daily Telegraph’s Rugby critic expresses the opinion that the president of the French Federation is merely optimistic in announcing the resumption of relations with the British Rugby Union. He points out that the rupture was due to the veiled professionalism of France. The critic refers to tire new Continental union and says that, though the French in recent months sought reconciliation, it may bo taken that so far the union sees no reason for changing its attitude towards France and has arranged a North versus South match in February in place of the English v. French match.
