SUCCESSFUL FLOWER SHOW.

(From Our Own Correspondent.) WOODVILLE, Sept. 16.

Tlio annual Bazaar and Bulb Siipw held by tlie lloly Trinity Church was opened yesterday in fine weather. The entries, though not so numerous as last year's, were of a particularly high standard. The judges were Rev. C. B. Stephenson and iUrs B. Eraser, of Danncvirko. The attendance in the afternoon and evening was very good. Those in charge of stalls were: —Produce, Mesdanies R. R. Johnston and G. Bruere; cakes, Mesdanies Stanborougii, J. Horne and B. H. Norman; fancy, Mesdames Mules, R. C. Smith and Desmond; plain, Mesdanies Jones and King; sweets, Mosdamcs Noble and Vowell and Misses Kennedy and Bryson; refreshments, Mesdamos J. Nelson, Carr, Simpson, Hill, Nicholas and Miss C. Carr. Mr Jaino was in charge of tiie hoop-la. Shooting and ping pong competitions attracted much interest. 'J.lie final of the shooting competition was won Liy Mr R. R. Johnston, the winners of the ping polls' competitions being Air F. Graham (men) and Miss Graham (ladies). Stewards for the various classes were:— Decorative, Air Shine; children's classes. Airs J. Miss Gene Benbow, of Ormondville, is visiting YVoodville. At the general committee meeting of the A. and P. Society on Monday night a revised schedule will bo. considered. It is proposed to add wood chopping to the sporting events. A tug-of-war will bo held, as last year, but the subcommittee advises that the weight be increased from 60 to 65 stone. In the event of there being only one entry in any class it is proposed to award only half the prize money. In the consolation jump the event will bo open to horses that have not won a first prize in any jumping event in the show. A class for tradesmen’s horses will not be included in the schedule. The following recommendations were made for inclusion in the section for Largo Black pigs:—Boar, 14 months and over; sow, 14 months and over; sow, 14 months and under.
