RESOLUTION OF PROTEST. Per Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, Sept. ill. On a party division to-niglit, theCity Council decided to support a resolution of protest against tlie present high exchange rate. The resolution had been passed by a public meeting of Auckland ratepayers and was forwarded with a request for support. The motion was carried on the Mayor’s casting vote.
