In the match with the M.0.C., the South of England declared with 7 wickets down for 462 (Hammond 184). Tlie M.C.C., who made 375 in tlieir first innings, have lost 3 for 21 in tlieir second strike. Playing the West Indies, Hon. Leve-son-Gower’s Eleven were all out for 310 (Wyatt 108; Martindale 5 for 87). West Indies made only 130 (Verity 5 for 20) and Hon. Leveson-Gower’s Eleven went in again to lose 4 wickets for 106 (Wyatt 56, not out).
AMES’S PERFORMANCE

Ames has completed 3000 runs for the season. He is the first wicketkeeper to accomplish the feat.
