LATE KING FEISAL.
RETURN OF BODY
NEW KING ASSUMES WORKS
(British Official Wireless.)
Received September 12, 11.59 a.m. RUGBY, Sept. 11. The body of King Feisal of Iraq, which is being conveyed to Haifa from Brindisi by tho British cruiser Despatch, is being accompanied by, among others, the late King’s brother, Ali, and two Cabinet Ministers, Nure Pasha and Rustam Haidar. At Bagdad and throughout Iraq sorrow at King Feisal’s death is shown by all classes of the community. The new King, formerly Prince Ghazi, has already shouldered his fresh responsibilities. Ho has reappointed all the Cabinet Ministers to the posts held under his father. In expressing thanks to King Ghazi for his trust in the Cabinet, the Premier, Rashid Ali, said lie was confident that Iraq would continue to follow the same policy as in the past, consideration for which was the maintenance of bonds of friendship and alliance with Great Britain.
With full military honours the body of King Feisal was embarked on the cruiser Despatch at Brindisi this afternoon for transport to Haifa. It will be conveyed from Haifa to Bagdad in a Royal Air Force aeroplane.
