RIOT IN PRISON.
NEW ORLEANS, Sept. 10. Thirteen heavily-armed long-term convicts fled on Sunday from Angola penal farm after a bloody riot during visitors’ hour. More than six men were shot, three of them fatally. The latter included a trusty guard, the farm foreman and a prisoner.
