Only relatives, with members of the indoor and outdoor staffs at Eallodon, were present. . , Meanwhile, services were held in Newcastle Cathedral and in Embleton Parish Church, near Eallodon. A special prayer was offered for the peace of the world, which was the wish nearest to the heart of the dead statesman.
