RED CROSS SOCIETY.
MANAWATU BBANCH
Examinations iii hygiene and sanitation were conducted oy the New Zealand National Bed Cross Society in August. All the candidates were successful, the following passing in the section mentioned :
Elementary.—Misses Bitchie, J. Bratflield, S. Collins, D. Frost, G. Norman and Messrs V. Cunninghamo, D. Frost, F. B. Lewis and O. S. Steverson.
Intermediate. —Mrs F. N. Andrews, Miss I. Ainsworth, Mrs S. F. Aitchison, ills Briden- Jones, Miss M. Buchanan, Mrs B. Carruthers, Misses. Davies, G. Elliott, J. Forbes and_ E. Gilchrist, Mrs Galbraith, Miss Kidd, Mrs D. Lyne, Mrs Leng, Misses B. Nairn, V. Patterson, M. Penketh, Mrs Ivi. Blundell, Mrs W. FI. Bicliardson, Misses M. Puklowski, Sapwell and M. Tucker.
The society is indebted to Dr D. Mitchell for giving the lectures and Drs P. T. Putnam, D. H. Bett and Cyril King for examining the candidates.
