COMMITTED FOR TRIAL.

Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, June 14. David Rosentham, alias David Ross, pleaded not guilty to-day and yvas committed for trial on tyvo charges of obtaining goods valued at £l5B 18s 2d from Reginald G. Kain by false pretences and on a charge of stealing £36 Gs 7d in money, the property of Alfred George Barton. It was alleged that accused yvent to Mr Kain’s yvarehouse in Wellington and on the representation that the goods he yvas ordering yvere for Mr Kerslake, in Masterton, he obtained goods valued at £IOB, and that lie then yvent to Auckland and obtained goods of the value of £SO 18s 2d by representing that lie was Mr Kerslake, afterwards conducting auction sales in toyvns on the East Coast and selling the goods at rates below cost and never accounting to Mr Kain for the money.
