DEATH OF YOUTH.
INQUIRIES BY POLICE. Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, May 8. David Ellis, aged 17, a storeman, was found unconscious and gravely, injured lying on the main road through Takapuna at 6 o clock last night. He died almost immediately m a nearby house. Death was apparently due to head injuries. Detectives and the police have since been searching for a car which was believed to have struck him and which was reported to have carried no headlights.
