BAKERS’ CONFERENCE.

ELECTION OF OFFICERS. Per Press Association. DUNEDIN, Feb. 9. The New Zealand Bakers’ Conference was continued at Dunedin to-day. In response to a request to bring down a recommendation on proposals to alter the constitution the executive committee submitted the following motions, which were adopted: "That of the present levy ot £1 Is, now payable to tbe New Zealand executive by all affiliated associations, the sum of 10s 6d be paid direct by the New Zealand Association to a committee controlling the South Island and North Island organisers’ funds respectively.” “That 50 per edit, of the fees contributed from the South Island for associate and active members, be refunded to the South Island organiser’s fund.”

The following office-bearers were elected:—President, Mr T. W. Smith (Stratford); North Island vice-presi-dent, Mr C. Cowan (Auckland); South Island vice-president, Mr L. A. Woodward (Christchurch); executive, Messrs J. McGregor, G. K. Mathieson, L. Burton, 11. H. Montgomery, H. P. Burton and C. Buchanan; auditor, Mr H. F. O. Twigden.
