AQUATIC SPORTS

TERRACE END CLUB’S CARNIVAL

There was a splendid attendance at the Terrace End swimming baths last evening, when the club held its annual carnival, celebrated with a big list of events. The programme was of a most varied and comprehensive nature, including humorous interludes between keenly contested events. There was a likelihood of rain in the ea.rly part of the evening, but the weather cleared and the carnival was unmarred throughout. Mr R. Belfit, the president of the club, introduced Mr A. D. • Campbell, who declared the carnival open. Mr Belfit expressed pleasure at the large attendance of the public. Mr Campbell said he was gratified, at the progress the club had made from unpromising beginnings. In this‘connection credit was due to Messrs D. C. Pryor and W.
