BUILDING IN BRITAIN.
(British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, Jan. 26. The Ministry of Labour’s Gazette reveals that the value of new buildings, including houses, approved in 140 towns in Britain in the last three months of 1932 was £19,015,000. This figure compares with £13,000,000 for the corresponding period of the previous year, and is fully £150,000 lower than for the second quarter of 1929, when the building boom was at its height. It is anticipated that the 1929 level will be reached by the spring and exceeded during the coming summer.
