SHIPBUILDING YARDS.
BUSY TIME IN BRITAIN. LONDON, Jan. 27. Shipbuilding is enjoying one of the best fillips for several years. Orders have been placed since November for 68 vessels of all types, while the Admiralty will place contracts in March for vessels authorised under the 1932 programme. This improvement, following" ten months’ almost complete stagnation, is attributed partly to the cooperation of steelmakers who are supplying materials at rates which enable shipbuilder's to tender at tempting prices.
