FORCED TO DESCEND.
AMPHIBIAN IN HEAVY SEAS. MELBOURNE, Jan. 26. A tri-motored amphibian flying from King Island to Melbourne to-day was forced down in heavy seas which were running between the Lome and \> j c River. The amphibian was beached. The five passengers who were on board were unhurt though the machine was damaged. .
