COW CLIMBS STAIRS.
ORDEAL FOR WOMAN INVALID IN BED. A cow, which climbed a narrow flight of stairs in a house in Bedminster, Bristol, entered the bedroom of a sixty-four-year-old invalid and charged-a parrot which squawked at it. The cow knocked down the parrot, got its head under the bed, trying to pitch the invalid, Mrs Morgan, out of the bed, smashed all the crockery in the room, pushed its foot through the floor, and then got its head wedged in a cupboard. Finally men had to push it downstairs backwards to get it out of the house. Mrs Morgan, whose screams had attracted attention, suffered from considerable shock, and was removed in an ambulance to a son’s house.
