ASHHURST FLOWER SHOW.
The Aslihurst Flower Show—a report of which appealed in the Friday’s issue of the “Standard”—-was continued in the evening of Thursday, December 1, and included a musical entertainment, urrauged by Mr Garde Grimshaw. Mr Grimshaw was accompanied by a small party, and an excellent programme of songs, recitations, humour, and a clever little sketch entitled “He Tried to Tell His Wife,” was much appreciated hv the large audience present; songs were also tendered by Mr A. Buhner and were greatly appreciated ns was also the ex-j hibition of the dancing of the Highland Fling by Master Watson, and a double sword dance by Masters Watson and Gore, the dances being accompanied by Mr Stuart on the bagpipes. Messrs H. Bristow and C. Klein rendered valuable service as door-keepers, and Mr R. McDonald acted ns auctioneer (an honorary post lie lias been good enough to fill for several years) of surplus goods at the conclusion of tho show.
