STATE EMPLOYEES.
FURTHER WAGES CUT NOT CONSIDERED. (By Telegraph.—Special to Standard.) WELLINGTON, Dec. 6. Rumours have been in circulation that it is the intention of the Government to impose another ‘•cut” in the salaries of civil servants, and 20 per cent, has been mentioned as a possible figure. Replying to a question this afternoon, Rt. Hon. G. W. Forbes stated that the Government had not given any consideration to the question of making further reductions in the salaries of State employees.
