REDUCED BUDGET. Received October 13, 9.40 a.m. GENEVA, Oct. 12. The Budget Committee passed the League’s Budget which is £4OOO smaller. OFFICIALS’ SALARIES. NO LEGAL RIGHT OF REDUCTION Received October 13, 8.35 a.m. LONDON, Oct.. 12. At Geneva the committee of jurists appointed by the Budget Committee ruled that the League has no legal right to reduce officials’ salaries. Thus the British proposal for a 10 per cent, reduction applies only to future contracts, but the five largest are shortly due for renewal.
