POHANGINA.
(From Our Own Correspondent.) POHANGINA, Oet. 12. A meeting was hold in the Pohangina Hall on Saturday night for the purpose of organising a Cricket- Club and electing officers for the coming season. Mr W. Howell presided over a good attendance. The following officers were elected: Patron, Mr F. Roberts; president, Mr H. Smart; vice-presidents, Messrs G. Wagetaff, \ E Orgias, J. Roberts and J. Galvin; captain, Mr H. Fitzhcrbert; vice-captain and sole selector, Mr W. Howell, senr.; hon secretary, Mr W. Howell, junr. It was decided to fix the members annual subscription at 10s, and the opening day will bo Labour Day, when a match, Married v. Single, will take place. The committee aro arranging a “working bee” on Saturday next when necessary improvements to the pitch will bo carried out.
