HARBOUR BOARD’S SUBSIDY
Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Oct. 12. A protest against tho recommendation of the National Expenditure Commission that the annual subsidy of £12,000 paid to the Greymouth Harhour Board be withheld for a period of two years was made by a deputation from the board which waited on the Prime Minister and Hon. J. G. Cobbe this afternoon. In reply, Mr Forbes promised to look into the matter and obtain a full report.
