HOROWHENUA.

(From Our Own Correspondent.) OTAKI, Oct. 11. Borne person or persons on Friday night entered the backyard of a bakery in Main Street and appropriated parts of a motor oar. Among the exhibitors at the Wellington Kennel Show last week were Mrs A. W. Bills and Mrs A. Wilson, of Otaki. The former, with four entries, secured two seconds and two thirds with her Scotch oollie, while the latter who had two entries was awarded a first and a second for her Scotch terrier. Miss Monorieif (Carterton) is at present on holiday,‘in Otaki and /is staying with her sister, Mrs W. Burns Smith. Mr D. Roxburgh, who has been in hospital in Wellington for medical treatment, has returned home.
