RANGITIKEI
MARTON, Sept. 27. The final of the Marton Moil’s Golf Chib senior championship was played in fine, but windy, weather during the week-end, between A. and R. S. Fullerton-Smith over 36 holes, the latter accounting for his brother and annexing the honours in an interesting match. An early lead was established by A. Fullerton-Smith, but his opponent finished the morning’s play three up, negotiating the second nine in an excellent 34. This load he held through the afternoon, to win the match and championship at the 34th by three and two. Both played very steady golf. Saturday’s stroke competition was won by C. M. Holdaway, 82—16—66. The runners-up were H. W. Collier, 80 —12—68, and L. Coleman, 88— 20—68.
