DOMINION EDITOR’S SERVICE. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Sept. 26. The completion by Mr C. W. Earle, 0.M.G., as chief executive officer of the Dominion newspaper, of 25 years, as editor-in-chief and 20 years as managing director, was marked on Saturday evening by a dinner given in Lis honour by the literary staff and other branches of the newspaper. Striking tributes were paid to Mr Earle’s work over a quarter of a century', and in acknowledging the vital part ho played in the development of the paper, members of the staff attri buted to him the chief credit for building, from its foundations, an orgamsation which had taken an outstanding part in the progress of the Wellington province, and had exerted a real influence on tho course of New Zealand affairs.
