OROUA ELECTORATE.
LABOUR PARTY’S INTENTIONS. The Feilding branch of the New Zealand Labour Party has issued an announcement which states that it is the opinion among its members that “in View of the failure of the Coalition-United-Reform Government to effectively deal with the present situation, and its evident to do so, it is not unlikely that a general election may take place in the not very distant future. With this in mind, the Feilding branch of the Labour Party announces its intention to nominate an official Labour candidate, in Oroua at the next election.” The selection of the candidate has not yet been made, as a decision in this respect must be reached by the various Labour organisations throughout the electorate, coupled with its endorsement by the national executive of the Labour Party.
