SPORTING DOGS.
PROPOSED INCREASE IN FEES.
WELLINGTON, Sept. 27
The Minister of Internal Affairs has informed the Counties Association that the advisability of increasing the registration fee of sporting dogs to £1 or £2 will be considered when an amendment to the Dogs Registration Act, 1908, is under review.
One of the chief proponents of the proposed increase in the registration fee for sporting dogs is the Kairanga County Council, which, a short time ago, circularised other county cotincils and the Counties Association setting o<it its views on this subject.
