Basketball matches played last evening in the Y.M.C.A. inter-liouse competition resulted as follows: Ladies’ section: Hopwood Hardware 6 v. P.D.C. B 0; Hosiery Factory A 11 v. P.D.C. A 8; C. and C. B 16 v. Hosiery Factory B 8; C. and C. A 18 v. J. It. McKenzie’s 0. The final of the men’s knock-out competition resulted : Hopwood Hardware 14 v. P.D.C. 9. In a trial match for selecting the representative team to meet Y.M.C.A. next Wednesday, Possibles beat Probables 17 —9.
