CHINESE CREW.
MUTINY ON BRITISH TANKER 3 ROME, Aug. 28.
A mutiny among the Chinese crew, numbering 26, on the British tanker Haliotis, at Naples, was only controlled when the Fascist militia, with drawn revolvers, boarded the vessel and locked the mutineers in two cabins. Tho trouble arose when the captain rebuked the helmsman for negligence as they were about to sail. The helmsman closed with the master, biting him severely on the hands before he was driven off by the other British officers. Tho helmsman called to the other Chinese and they rushed the bridge, armed with knives and other weapons. The officers defended themselves until the militia arrived. One Chinese is in hospital.
