LAND IN SYDNEY.
LARGE TRANSACTION. SYDNEY, Aug. 26. A vacant block of land in the centre of the city of Sydney sold to-day at the rate of £ISOO a foot. _ It was the largest transaction of its kind for nearly two years. The price is regarded as satisfactory and as marking the turn of the tido to bettor times. Tho total price was £171,000.
