llichard Bennett, star of the legitimate stage for thirty years, plays in Warner Brothers’ picture “Bought’* which comes to the Palace 'I heatre to-morrow. In support of the fektr is his eldest daughter, Constance Bennett. For many years .Bennett was noted for his line stage characterisations.
Commencing to-morrow afternoon, and showing at tlie first two sessions only, the Kosy Theatre will present Ken Maynard ,n “The Fighting Legion,” a. Western romance that will provide very good entertainment for young arid old alike. Tho concluding episode of tiio serial “Detective Lloyd,” wilL be shown at a.ll sessions. Constance Bennett is supported Liy a brilliant oast in “The Common Law,” her new starring picture coming at 5.30 p.m. to-morrow, to the Kosy Theatre. Joel MeCTca is again the star's leading man. Cody, Robert Williams, Iledda Hopper, Marion Shilling and Paul Ellis are a:so in the cast.
r J lie season of George Arliss in “Alexander Hamilton” commences at the Regent Theatre’s matinee to-morrow afternoon. The acting of Arliss is well-known to picture lovers, and in his latest screen offering lie even surpasses his past outstanding offerings. Mr Arliss is supported by a cast including Doris Kenyon, Dudley Digges, and June Collycr. In the supporting part of the programme Harry Lauder will bo heard in one of his old favourite songs “Tobermory.” Bobby Jones will give a lesson in golf.
