PROGRESS OF CONFERENCE.

WELLINGTON, Aug. 24. At the luncheon adjournment of the conference between the shipowners and the watersiders, it was stated on liehalf of both sides that there was nothing for publication. The conference is likely to last two or three days.
AYORK PROCEEDING AT AUCKLAND.

AVork is proceeding smoothly on the Auckland waterfront. Labour was engaged promptly for the Port Hobart which arrived this morning from New York.
