SEQUEL TO RECENT BOUT. SCHMELING’S MANAGER SUSPENDED. Received June 25, 10.0 a.m. NEW YORK, June 24. Mr Joe Jacobs, manager for Max Schmeling, was indefinitely suspended to-day by the New York State Athletic Commission, both as manager and as a second to boxers, for his action in protesting against the decision awarding the title to Jack Sharkey. Mr Jacobs had charged that Schmeling was robbed of tho fight by unfair officials named by tho Commission- “ Gunboat” Smith, the referee, was complimented by the commission on his handling of the affair. While condemning Mr Jacobs, Commissioner Muldoon was enthusiastic in his praise of Schmeling, both as a boxer and a gentleman. He said that the German was a credit to the ring.
