THEFT OF JEWELLERY.
(From Our Own Correspondent.) FOXTON, May-7. A robbery in which jewellery valued at several hundred pounds was involved occurred at Motuiti during the week ending April 24, when the premises of Sue Kw-ai Wing, a Chinese market gardener were entered while tho owner was in Foxton and valuablo jewellery that had been presented to Mrs Wing, daughter of Chung Wah, prior to leaving China for Now Zealand, was stolen. Constable Owen and Detective Darling took the matter, in hand and the arrest of a juvenile has been made. Portion of the stolen property was recovered a short time ago, but it was not until last evening that the balance was found hidden in a. swamp on tho Himatangi Estate.
