COLYTON.
(From Our Own Correspondent.) COLYTON, April 20. On Monday evening the annual householders’ . meeting was held at the Colyton School, Mr J. Crooks being appointed chairman over a small attendance. Mr M. A. McLeod read the balance-sheet, whicli showed a good credit balance. The headmistress, Mrs Calvert, also presented her report. A hearty vote of thanks was accorded Mr McLeod, who has resigned his position of chairman and a member of the committee, a position he has hold for many years, and also for the attention given as commissioner during the last 12 months. Following were elected a committee: Messrs J. Crook (chairman), 11. B. Woodman (secretary), J. Edhouse, Mitchell and G. Parkor. Mr and Mrs H. E. Hocken and family left on Tuesday on an extonded motor tour of the north. Mr and Mrs G. L. Jensen, of Whakarongo, are new residents in Colyton, having recently taken a farm in this district.
